Status update

Both my closings are in trouble...

113K worth of outstanding code violations on the place I'm buying... need Seller to holdback 10K in Escrow;

Lawyer who hates the Condo President and vice versa on the other side, holding up the acceptance of an affidavit for my sale... (and the opposing attorney says he WILL hold up this sale if he doesn't get this affidavit from my president... with whom I spent an HOUR AND FORTY FIVE MINUTES OF PACKING TIME TONIGHT kissing his ass, and to reach whom, I gave away a television set to my security guard...Yeah. I've lived in Miami too long, but I know whose palms to grease.)

And Las Vegas may not be moving out here.

And you know what? It's so much to handle, I'm simply not.

I don't give a fuck.

Whatever.

If I think about everything, I'll have a nervous breakdown. So I'm just not thinking about it. I've groomed my liver for these high stress scenarios, and now I'm just letting the chips fall where they may.

La, la, la, la, la.

And RT - if you could send me some of your Xanax...

I'd repay you in Brownies once I move. Delicious, homemade brownies, made with deep appreciation.

Back to ironing, packing, and not caring, generally.

I am bummed for you. Putting up with other people's egos just to accomplish simple paperwork is Soviet.

Keep packing- it's the right thing to do. I'll be praying for you.

UUUggghh...I think there's some sort of unwritten code that purchasing a home must be as arduous as possible. Ridiculous.

I'll do you one better than a few xanax...you can have a whole bottle of trazadone that certain Middle Eastern Psychiatrists assure me is The Best Thing Ever. Well.Maybe xanax, after all. I'll address the box to SuperBee,Potentially Homeless Person, Miami Fla.

It will work out. It's in their contract to make this as difficult as possible, but eventually everyone is going to want their money.

113k in code violations? That's for the whole building I assume. Is it new construction? If not, watch out, there may be a bunch of other issues down the road. I believe you are on Miami beach right? Code enforcement there are pitbulls, they will slap the fines and won't let go.

Good luck.
