I got not much.
Not much to say. So I'll post this in, because I always liked the tempo of the words. Sara knows what it's from. Others can figure it out from Googling.
EMMA
What brings you here today?
EMMA
Poor young rich boy!
Masturbates for a Vaudeville tart!
What a waste of a fiery heart,
Dear!
YOUNGER BROTHER
He thought she said...
EMMA, RALLYERS
Poor young bourgeois!
EMMA
There are things that you've never thought.
Come to Emma and you'll be taught
Here!
YOUNGER BROTHER
His head was spinning!
EMMA, RALLYERS
People feathered and tarred, my friend.
Unions broken and why for?
Children laboring, women still enslaved!
Leave you little backyard my friend.
There are causes to die for!
RALLYERS
Strike!
YOUNGER BROTHER
In the gutters of the city
I have tried to find some meaning.
RALLYERS
Strike!
YOUNGER BROTHER
In the arms of fallen women.
In the thought of suicide.

I actually just read this book early in the summer. It's really good, although quite different than the musical. Definitely worth a read.

Really? I'll put it on my list... I've been partial to turn-of-the-Century reading lately. Have you read Devil in the White City? That's an awesome read.

Funny you should mention it - Vanessa just started that book, so I have dibs after her.

If she's like me, she'll be done with it in the next four days. Despite its length and its descriptiveness, I couldn't put it down.
Harry Potter, on the other hand, I'm sort of bored with already. But Shhhhh. No talky-talky about Harry Potter till I'm done.
