I'm a little slow today. I just switched to Sanka. So...have a heart?

I'm probably dying.

It may be the hangover that's still kicking around from Friday night, but I'm pretty sure I'm dying.

Instead of blaming the hangover, the pan con lechon I ate last night and the McDonald's I just consumed to make myself feel better, I'll just content myself that I probably have some fatal disease, and am not long for this world.

I wish I liked yoga and eating raw vegetables. I'd probably feel like a million bucks all the time. Instead, I like liquor and McDonald's, resulting in my constantly feeling like I probably would if I lived in London in 1660 - gouty, lethargic and melancholy.

Maybe after this weekend, April will become "a vegetarian, liquor free" month... Maybe.

when my children say that, "I'm dying!" I tell them that yes, they are, but probably not today.

I have pan con lechon on the menu for later in the week. maybe we'll skip it and have a head of broccoli instead.

Oh, but Pan con Lechon is sooooo good.

But broccoli is good too. And if you check out this month's Bon Appetit, Molly Weizenberg has a magical recipe that's basically a can of chickpeas, lemon juice, olive oil, italian parsley, basil, and fresh grated parmesan cheese - it's delicious simplicity!

That sounds like Italian hummus or something- I'll investigate because that recipe is essentially everything I love.
I kinda despise broccoli unless it's raw and mixed with cheese, bacon and mayonnaise, which makes it really bad for you (but still high fiber).
We're going to have pan con lechon anyway, because I want to, and I reckon the leftovers would make a tasty Cuban sandwich, and everyone knows sandwiches are good for you.
