I blame my parents for being gay. After all, they're the ones who used to tape 1950s/60s Musicals that used to come on Public Television every Saturday night, and then park me in front of the television for hours on end watching The Music Man and Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music and Annie, and the rest of the family-friendly garbage that used to come on TV. And I would watch them over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over again.

I grew up thinking names like "Hermione Gingold" and "Glynis Johns" were normal.

On the plus side, I have the ability to really appreciate Family Guy. I mean, like I've said in the past, any cartoon that can spontaneously break into: Shipoopi, deserves our perverse respect. I mean... it's better when Buddy Hackett sings it, but Peter Griffin is pretty good too.
