I'm a little slow today. I just switched to Sanka. So...have a heart?

Know what commercial fills me with a tremendous sense of contentedness and security, causing me to want to nurture a small infant child, and keep...

it safe and warm, and secure, and hapy, until it grows to maturity and reaches its full potential, all while being adorably hip in all respects?

THAT MACBOOK AIR COMMERCIAL!

You know, the one where there's that stacatto song accompanied by a piano (or something?) that suddenly swells, and strikes you as actually a pretty cool song, and who sings that, you should totally get that CD... and also learn how to use iTunes...

You know the one I'm talking about, right? Where they take the MacBook Air out of the envelope, and you suddenly think about how much you hate your 2002 Dell Inspiron 4150, but don't feel like going through the hassle of getting a WHOLE NEW COMPUTER and having to install everything on it?

You know that commercial?

I really like that commercial.

It makes me almost want to give up my two computers, which, collectively, if you add their ages together, could legally drive cars next month.

Weigh in. Have any of you made the switch? Thoughts?

I've had a Mac since '02 and a powerbook since '03 and have never looked back. They really are great, stable machines-- never mind the fact that they actually look nice. All the Macs have the capability to run Windows now too, in case compatibility is an issue. I don't know if I'd get an air, mainly because they don't have a CD drive and they only have one USB port, but it really is a pretty machine.

I have to admit I despise that commercial. I want the laptop but the song drives me crazy. For some reason, precious music is all the rage these days and I want a little more gusto with my vocals than that singer has. But if you put a song on a mac commercial of any kind, i believe it goes platinum...

I love the look of it but I have to tell ya I'm pretty clumsy and it sure looks too delicate for me.

JB - That's encouraging to hear. Also, nice to know you're still alive.

And also, I don't know whether I can get an Air because I have to extend the warranty on my car to the tune of 2,600.00 bucks, but... one can dream, right?

So you switched and never looked back. My mom tells me the same thing - she's PC at work and MAC at home.

Mrs. Cabbage -- It is a pretty precious song, but I think my biological clock is starting to tick so it hit a nerve with me - because the song seems to be about babies, and... uh... I want babies. Well, not babies, but a three-year old. Who stays three forever. And eventually, I can return.

Mrs Calabaza - (Gosh, I have cabbage AND squash answering today... I wonder where Ms. Brussel Sprout and Mrs. Other Cruciferous Vegetables are lurking...?) It does seem infinitely breakable. At the same time... being able to throw it into carry on baggage... OR INTO A REDWELL INTO COURT!? Awesome!
