Lightnin'!
I took some pixtures of some lightning tonight between 11:00 and 11:20: Not bad, considering these are taken with a six-year old slooooow digital camera...

I have always wanted to take a picture of lightning, and never have had the chance. Tornadoes,too. These are cool!

Thanks! It helps to be high up, although in your back yard, you could probably get some good night lightning.
It wasn't so easy to do; I spent about 15 minutes just firing off about 200 pictures into the dark to get those four shots...
But I don't think it was wasted time. : )

They make these attachments you can put on an SLR camera, to catch lightning. I want one. I also want to live somewhere with a horizon. Too many trees here, we have about 10 degrees of sky, never enough to actually *see* anything.

The second picture is raelly good- with the cloud and all. You could make a great blow-up of that

The second picture is my absolute favorite. :) I look at it at least once a day.
I don't know whether it would
blow up so wonderfully, because the shutter speed is slow, and it's sort of blurry, when it's larger.

call the blur 'artistic licence'. Like, the lightning is clear, and the cloud is great..maybe a bit of a crop for the building, or maybe not...say it's supposed to be that way.
