Cliche'd phrase I hate for today:
"It is what it is."
My secretary has taken to saying that at every opportunity.
Me: "Good Morning!"
Secretary: "It is what it is."
Me: "I don't want Wendy's for lunch."
Secretary: "It is what it is."
Me: "Our client has no grounds to advance this position."
Secretary: "It is what it is."
I hate that phrase. A lot. And now that I'm hearing it at least seven times an hour, I HATE IT EVEN MORE.
That is all.

i have actually been saying that more and more, but when i say it, it's only to my co-worker because i don't really want to engage in conversation with him. she's not doing that to you is she?

my former boss, when i was working for a music fest where (naturally) everything was last-minute and resources were limited, used the phrase "catch as catch can" ALL the FUCKING time and it drove me mad. I can't really write much more because now I'm hearing him say it and ... I have to get outside for a minute.
