Jacques Offenbach wrote the following song, which I think I sang Junior year in high school with Choir. Although I could probably sing anything I sang in High School from memory, this particular song sticks out... I think you'll see why.

I do NOT remember that song. Do you still have copies of all of our concerts from high school? I kind of remember you taking the time to go in and put them on cassette. Do you still listen to them?

They've been lost to the sands of time... I'm not sure whether we ever actually sang it at a concert, but I know we learned the song. It may have been in 10th grade? Maybe 11th? I'm sure Kara or Laura will remember.

Heh heh - Thanks for posting this. I too sang this in a high school choir. Since it was more than 20 years ago though, I could not for the life of me remember the name of the song, though and for some strange reason had a loop of the chorus in my head this morning. I just HAD to remember the rest of it or it would never go away, so I started to google "please elucidate, please elaborate, we are curious indeed" without pinning too much hope on success, but there it was. I suspect there is a reason for such an odd thing to have surface in my psyche today - maybe its just because I'm annoyed at my boyfriend, though. Cheers, fellow warblers!
